Kitana - MK2 Movie

MK2 Movie Kitana is a powerful control and Power Drain character in MK Mobile, capable of draining Power from both active and tagged-out enemies. She boosts team Power generation while disabling opponents through buff removal, anti-tag effects, and guaranteed critical hits with Piercing Fans, making her a strong and reliable pick for many team setups.

Passive: Furious Princess

MK2 Movie Kitana is a powerful Power Drain specialist who excels at controlling both active and tagged-out opponents.

Every 12 seconds, Kitana automatically drains 1 full bar of Power from the active enemy. When this Power Drain triggers, her Piercing Fans special attack becomes charged with the Weak Points mini-game, increasing its effectiveness.

In addition to the active opponent, all of Kitana’s Power Drain effects also impact tagged-out enemies, draining them for an extra 20% of the original Power Drain value. This makes her extremely effective against teams that rely on power generation or tag-in strategies.

Kitana also provides strong team support by increasing all teammates’ Power generation by 35%, making her a valuable addition to many team compositions.

Piercing Fans – Special Attack Breakdown

During Piercing Fans, multiple Weak Points appear on the enemy in a specific order. Kitana throws one Fan for each successfully hit Weak Point.

Each Fan hit applies the Pierced effect for 3 seconds, which:

  • Removes all active buffs
  • Prevents the opponent from gaining new buffs
  • Stops the enemy from tagging out
  • Grants Kitana a 100% Critical Hit Chance against affected targets

This makes Piercing Fans an excellent tool for locking down enemies, shutting down buffs, and dealing massive burst damage.

Synergy

A teammate with the highest Attack gains 35% of all power drained by Kitana.

Kitana's team ignores the opponent's Power Drain resistance and reflect. Immunities are not affected.

Ghostface - Nightmare

Nightmare Ghostface is a Diamond-tier Netherrealm character in Mortal Kombat Mobile, introduced as part of the Halloween-themed Update 7.0 alongside new content like Klash Towers and seasonal challenges. Inspired by the iconic masked slasher archetype, Nightmare Ghostface brings a unique dual-form fighting style to the battlefield, switching between Billy and Stu to build power, survive, and unleash devastating offensive bursts.

Unlike most fighters, Ghostface accumulates Ghostspirit stacks through basic attacks, triggering powerful effects like Manic mode and Death Save interventions that can turn the tide in close matches. His kit makes him effective in Nightmare-themed teams, especially when paired with other members of the Nightmare squad for enhanced utility and comeback potential.

Passive – Double Trouble (Nightmare Ghostface)

Nightmare Ghostface alternates between Billy and Stu, each with unique mechanics tied to the Ghostspirit effect.

Billy – Ghostspirit & Manic Rage

  • Billy gains Ghostspirit after every 2 Basic Attacks.
  • Each Ghostspirit stack increases Billy’s damage by 5%.
  • Maximum 5 Ghostspirit stacks.

When Billy has 5 Ghostspirit stacks, using Special Attack 2 triggers Manic for 13 seconds.

While Manic is active:

  • Billy does not react to enemy Basic Combo Attacks
  • Gains +180% damage
  • The opponent cannot tag out

During Manic:

  • Billy cannot tag out to Stu
  • Special Attack 2 and Fatal Blow are disabled

Stu – Survival & Recovery

  • Billy can switch to Stu at any time.
  • When Stu tags in, he gains a Shield.
  • Stu removes 1 Ghostspirit stack every 2 Basic Attacks.
  • Each removed stack:
    • Heals Stu for 7% of max health
    • Grants +5% Power Generation

Synergy – Nightmare Intervention

Before a teammate receives fatal damage, Billy bursts into the fight, attacking the opponent and preventing the knockout.

  • Activates once per match
  • Gains +1 additional activation for each Nightmare teammate in the team

Geras MK1 Passive Ability Explained

Sands of Time

MK1 Geras manipulates time itself through the power of the Hourglass, allowing him to counter-attack enemies, reduce incoming damage, and sustain his entire team.

While Geras is active, the Hourglass assists him in battle by reducing the damage he receives and gradually healing both Geras and all alive teammates. The healing restores 3% of maximum Health for every 8–6% of Geras’ maximum Power consumed. This makes Geras an excellent sustain-focused frontline character, especially in longer fights.

At the same time, the Hourglass absorbs 50% of both Geras’ and his current opponent’s Power generation, slowing down enemy Special Attacks and Fatal Blows while limiting Geras’ own Power gain in exchange for survivability and team support.

When Geras tags out, a Dust Storm is triggered. This storm slows all opponents and remains active for 7 seconds, giving your team a strong tempo advantage and making it easier to control the flow of combat.

In addition, Geras’ Basic Attacks scale with his remaining Health. For every 25% of Health he has, his Basic Attack damage increases, reaching a maximum bonus of 60–100% when at high Health. This makes Geras significantly more dangerous when kept healthy.

Passive Scaling Values:

Team healing Power cost: 8–6%

Maximum Basic Attack damage bonus: 60–100%

Geras MK1 Team Synergy

MK1 Geras provides powerful team-wide effects that enhance survivability and control.

All team members have a 30% chance to reflect any negative effect back to the opponent.

All MK1 teammates gain Power for 5 seconds after tagging in, allowing faster access to Special Attacks and Fatal Blows.

These synergy effects make Geras especially effective in MK1-focused teams and compositions that rely on sustained pressure and debuff control.

Geras MK1 Special Attacks

  1. World Stop - Attack: Medium damage + Strengthen - Deals medium damage and applies Strengthen, increasing Geras’ damage output and improving his threat level early in combat.
  2. To the stone age - Attack: High damage + Cripple
  3. Colliding Worlds - Fatal Blow Attack: Extreme damage + Shield

Noob Saibot - Darkest Knight, Diamond character, Netherrealm character

Noob Saibot - Darkest Knight

Passive

Insanity Is Contagious: Tag-In Attack, Madness, Shield Break, Weaken, Summoner, Unblockable, Evasion, Death Save, Shield, Slow, Cripple - On tag-in and on successful Fatal Blow, Darkest Knight Noob Saibot infects the current opponent with Madness, which lasts 9sec. Madness increases all incoming damage to the opponent, and reduces all damage dealt by the victim.

Additionally, upon the first use of Special Attack 2 at the start of the match and after each tag-in, Noob can choose its combat effect from Cripple, Slow, or Shield.

If the opponent is knocked out or won't tag out before the Madness ends, Noob creates a Minion Clone of them and can swap with it via the Puppet Master ability. Swapping with the Minion cannot be prevented, but the Minion can swap only with Noob. The Minion has a 30-50% unblockable attack chance and a 10-25% chance that any opponent's attack against it will miss.

  • Minion's unblockable attack chance: 30-50%
  • Opponent's attack miss chance against the Minion: 10-25%

Synergy

Darkest Knight Noob Saibot and his teammates cannot be hit by opponent's tag attacks.

When any Netherrealm teammate (including Noob) receives fatal damage, the Minion is sacrificed instead of them, and the saved teammate gains 25% of his max health. Works one per match.

For each additional Netherrealm teammate, Noob gains 1 additional Minion sacrifice.

Specials

Mortal Kombat Mobile All Characters Overview

Bronze Characters

The Bronze characters are the weakest tier of characters in the game. They don't have any specific gear that can give them an advantage, apart from Johnny Cage - Ninja mime and they only have 2 bars of power, for 2 special attacks. Every new account starts off with them and possibly a single Silver character. As with every other game, you need to play your way through to get to the next tier. Meaning you will get a good team of silver or gold characters when you will probably have those starter characters levelled up so far. My personal favorite Bronze character is Johnny Cage - Ninja Mime. He might look funny, but he does a great job defeating other bronze characters in battle 😉.

Silver Characters

The silver characters are the second-tier characters, and as you could probably imagine, they are stronger than the Bronze characters but weaker than the Gold characters. They have 3 special attacks and most of them if not all have gear that can give them some extra ability. They are really helpful when it comes to building up your gold characters set, as you could use them to level up faster (eg. pick your stronger silver character and two level 1 gold characters for a fight in Faction Wars, after a few rounds your gold character will probably have level 10-15 and have similar stats as your silver). Having silver characters is also crucial when you fight in challenge mode. Easy and Hard difficulty, each requires silver characters for two of the towers. You might have a strong gold team, but without silver, you won't be able to complete all of them. Most people enjoy playing with Scorpion because of his special attack 1. I've used him to defeat my first ever Diamond Klassic Reptile.

Gold Characters

The Gold tier is the most popular in the game with almost 100 characters. It come after the Silver and before the Diamond tier. We like to divide the golden characters into Challenge (the ones your can collect after completing a challenge mode) and non-challenge. Generally the challenge gold characters are stronger, faster and look and feel better when you play with them, whist the non-challenge characters are really good for support when it comes to their passive abilities. There are some exeptions ofcourse. Cassie Cage - Covert Ops for example has really good attack and health stats as well as really good passive ability. I believe she is the best non-challenge character for the price (only 250 souls from the store).

Diamond Characters

The diamond tier characters are the strongest and most difficult to obtain. There is no specific division as with the gold challenge and non-challenge, however, there are specific groups of diamond characters which are good against another group of diamond characters (eg. Circle of Shadow characters do 10% more damage versus Strike Force characters). It's best if you have 3 of those group of characters to be teamed up, as their passive ability usually complements each other. The other main difference between the bronze, silver, gold characters and the diamond is the number of slots for equipment. whilst the first three have only 3 slots, the diamond characters have 4, giving them a bigger advantage. Most players 1st diamond character ever is either Klassic Reptile or Shao Kahn - Konqueror.
